Meet Aneta

Hi Glendale, I’m Aneta Krpekyan, a Glendale resident and mother of two.  As a product of public schools, I have always been a proponent of public education and moved to Glendale because of the wonderful reputation of its schools. After Covid, with the prolonged school lockdowns in California, I became more concerned about the underrepresentation of parental input and feedback on important issues affecting our children’s education and welfare. Now, post-pandemic, our children’s education has suffered and they are still in need of focused support to get back on track. But instead of focusing on bridging academic gaps, much of the policies within Glendale Unified have been affected by complacency with mediocre academic performance, a focused effort on promoting harmful ideologies to young minds,  increased administrative bureaucracy, and wasteful and inefficient spending.

Glendale Unified needs leadership from those who are committed to academic excellence and in restoring the lost trust between parents and schools. Parents know what’s best for their children, and parental involvement and support is an integral component of a student’s success, both academically and emotionally.  By running for school board in Area E, my goal is to help our students achieve academic success and excellence,  as well as to restore the increasingly lost partnership between schools and parents. I will fight passionately to elevate Glendale students’ competitive achievement in core subjects and to enrich their extracurricular involvement in programs that will develop their skills and character in ways that prepares them to not only succeed, but to thrive in the future.

I invite you to join me in helping to build a brighter future for our children by donating to my campaign.  Whether it’s $5 or $500, your contributions will make an impact to bring positive and necessary change. By supporting this campaign, you are empowering local voices and control, and helping to shape a culture of excellence at GUSD.

Every dollar counts. The opposition is heavily funded by union money, along with taking orders from higher government officials.
Our schools need to be represented by people who connect with our local community.
